Harbor Branch Oceanographic Institute:

TMMP: Tropical Marine Mollusc Network:  The aim of the TMMP is to build strong foundations (scientific infrastructure) in member countries through enhancement of research capacity. Implementation involves yearly meetings bringing people together for the purpose of exchange of research findings and subsequent publication in English.  
The issue of biodiversity becomes increasingly important concurrently with the growth of human populations and the increasing demand for natural resources. Obviously, harvesting from the sea must be carried out in a sustainable fashion if it is not to result in the destruction of the resource itself. But what is sustainable?

Freshwater Molluscs: Unionidae: This gallery of photographs and videos is intended to encourage interest in the freshwater pearly mussels.  This site is good for finding conservation information about freshwater molluscs - A great many species of freshwater mollusc populations and species are endangered, because of pollution, habitat loss, and introduced species such as the Zebra mussel, which remove food from their habitat, and various carnivorous fish species (especially a number of Carp species), which devour large quantities of molluscs (not to mention the native fish population!!).
