Could you please help me identify the fossil gastropod in the below pictures – if possible to the generic level, otherwise the family. It comes from Eocene sediments. It is about 5.5 cm long.

• Looks like a muricid to me (Family Muricidae), subfamily Thaidinae. I'll stop short of placing it in the genus Thais, but it looks like something close to that. It is rather similar to some specimens of the extant species Thais orbita:
