Ed Heiman's Personal Pages

Welcome!
Initiation Date: October 08, 2001)

This section of "Man and Mollusc" has been developed as a resource for the serious shell collectors, malacologists and conchologists. This is a separate section from the site's General Interest and Internet Resource pages. In order for you to get the most of your visit to this section, it is advisable that you have at least a minimal understanding of malacology and its terminology.
Of course, all are welcome but amateur viewers BEWARE! " Serious scientific knowledge and terminology onboard!"

My hopes and intentions for this zone is that information gained from such a joint sharing of top quality information will help in answering some of the many molluscan questions and problems faced by scientists and shell collectors today. I also hope that it will encourage students to seek out a career in malacology and that shell collectors will get more involved and knowledgeable in their hobby.

Author's of molluscan studies are welcome to publish their articles and findings here. If you have a completed article that you would like to add to this section, you are welcome to submit it. If you would like to have a personal file where you can develop articles online or place your personal molluscan articles or studies, this can be arranged. Only articles that you, the author, wish to be viewed online will actually be linked to from this or any other Man and Mollusc page. Uploading articles, thus making them visible online, will only be done under the author's and owner's (Avril Bourquin) joint agreement.  If interested, please  Email me for further information on using this service.

This is a free service that I am offering conchologists and malacologists. It is just my personal way of helping out today's educators and scientists and in spreading the word that molluscs are important, interesting, beautiful, a great hobby, a source of tomorrow's drugs, etc... There will; however, be a sponsorship banner (like the one at the top of this page) on each page that is actually linked to Man and Mollusc site. I am not out to make money on the Man and Mollusc site; however, I do need to have some means of recouping some of my expenses of providing this site and its free services.

Enjoy!

Avril Bourquin
