Mystery Cerithidae

1. Data: This is a picture of a little snail a friend of mine gave to me. She took a trip to Bermuda and collected shells on a beach for me. They were kept in a plastic bottle for about 5 days before she got home and gave them to me and as I went over the shells this little guy started to crawl around. So right away I got some salt water from the beach acoss from my house. I would like info on ID and always how to take care of the little guy. So far I have had him for 7 days and he is still alive and well and now named "Clarence".

Thanks for any help.

  • I believe the "cerith" is Batillaria minima (Gmelin, 1791). ...Paul M.
