Words of Wisdom from Pet Snail owners

All Pet Snails Need:

1. A clean and safe home
2. A good substantial diet
3. Moisture and a clean water supply
4. A calcium supply for shell development: sources of calcium include a washed cuttlefish bone, egg shell (well baked), calcium supplements from pets shops, crushed snail shell, and natural chalk - again, make sure it's washed.
5. Careful handling; The shell opening edge is fragile! Wash your hands before and after handling your pets.

2. Apple Snails (GAS )

• DO NOT place driftwood into your aquariums; it will reduce the pH of the water and it will etch into your snail's shells
• Calcium supply: Ground egg shells; These egg shells MUST first be baked in an oven at 325 for 15 minutes, cooled then ground. If you place eggs shells just ground up (not baked) they will putrefy your aquarium.

• Take note of your snails normal habitat in nature and mimic it as close as possible at home
